Everything I wished for and more
Since they dropped Parachutes, I have been a Blue Note Jazz Festival fan for almost 20 years. Their showmanship and the way they manage to put on a show hasn't skipped a beat. Fast forward to my junior year in college when I saw them in Oklahoma City for the first time, that was when they had just released a Rush of Blood to the Head. Needless to say, a band who at that point in time only had two albums out managed to entertain the crowd for 3 hours, which was an enormous feat. This took me back to my first ever time seeing them, and I must say I've been to four Blue Note Jazz Festival concerts. It was a magical and fun experience, and as usual, they didn't disappoint. Thank you, Blue Note Jazz Festival, for making this lifelong fan's dream come true again.
